gaining power

What is the most efficient way to gain power, excluding an SC or a turbo or nos... like in order of most noticable gains of power.. ??

outta the turbo / sc / nos trio I would say that NOS is the most cost effective means of creating large gains...but can also do the most damage when abused...I am gonna get a trubo...I may go nuts and commint a tuner sin ang (gluttony) and get a t66 turbo when I kno a small t4 will do it and use the nitrous as a spool up kit...thats if the money and R&D time is available

Nothing much unless you want to fully re-build your bottom end and internals. If you want to go all-motor, just bump up compression, but it costs a lot of $$$ on a V6 and also it may shorten the life of the motor. Too bad Honda gave us electronic throttle in our 7th gens, we cant go independent throttle but atleast it keeps the car safer from driver error.

If you mean boltons, Id say best bang for bucks on my car was the pullies. Unfortunately nothing out for you. I liked the cams too but install is pricey and difficult.

just wait for bolt-on mods to start coming out. 6th genners can gain 30 whp over stock without even touching the internals, and that's without any tuning also.

Please, please please stop referring to it as NOS. It's called nitrous. Please also don't purchase it until you learn that...

Beside the stock exaust is supposed to be strictive and very easy to get 15-20hp out of it from j-pipe back(including better j-pipe)
Where's the chip.... need to rais the rev limit..this engine does'nt want to stop, seems like there's more power up there. I keep slaming into the rev limiter.

Yeah, Comptech is working on one. But how can anyone be talking HP numbers when one doesn't even exist yet?

I said from ther exaust sytem...INCLUDING REPLACING THE J-PIPE!..Then you'll see the 15-20hp.

Refrence- undercar video 'Temple of v-tech'

Please show us a dyno showing a 15-20 gain from Comptech's yet-to-be-developed complete exhaust system including j-pipe.

It's really stupid stating numbers as fact when you truly cannot. Refer to the undercar video from Temple of VTEC? Funny, I see a guy looking at the exhaust saying you can probably get more horsepower out of replacing the j-pipe. I hardly accept that as FACT.

I did not say cometech exaust... I said 'A BETTER EXAUST SYSTEM'

Why is it so hard to believe. Did you look under your car and see how small the exaust really is! People have been putting cat-backs on there cars for years and have been getting 5-10hp. So why couldn't you get 15-20hp from a full exaust system...not just cat-back. Buy replacing j-pipe, going bigger pipe to cat. Bigger hi-flow cat, bigger pipe allway through, no resonators, then nice y-pipe out to some decent mufflers.
My Grand am has a quad 4 and I put in 2.5" pipe from exaust man. I noticed a difference over stock. Not huge but a difference. From a 2.3. Honda's 3.0 will show more of a difference.

Borla's new catalog shows a system for the 2003 V6. They also have a dyno chart on the same page. Nearly 20whp gain just from the exhaust.

Can you post a link? I'd like to know how much the borla is. A friend of mine has one on his 2002 M3 and it looks and sounds awsome.

One of the members on this site has the prototype system on his car. I received the new catalog from Borla with the graphs and pricing in it. I believe it was $695 retail. I think that the kit # is 140080. If you call Borla, they'll confirm.
