AV6 Auto Vs. Mugen Civic Si who wins?

Can anyone help me on how I would fair up against a 2008 Honda Civic Mugen sedan 6spd.

Mods:
CAI,UR Pulley,Exhaust,and hi flow cat.

I am a 2007 lx v6 accord coupe automatic.

i looked on specs for comparison and av6 1/4 is 14.5, and civic si sedan is like 14.8-15.3 on 1/4 mile.

When my friend had his SI...he whooped my ass many of times. He can take off faster too while we were rolling.

Other times we were even, I got him off the line then he would catch up and once I hit about 120 it was close again.

Stupid TL-P.

The auto v6 must be a lot slower than a 6MT V6 because I raced 2 Civic SI coupes and beat both very easily - one from a dig, one from a 30mph roll. yes yes I know, they could have sucked ass as a driver, so many varibles, but it did happen twice.

to me, an si is the same as a rsx-s bc they both have k20's that make roughly the same power and they all weight close to each other. i've seen enough youtube videos of rsx-s's getting wooped by v6 accords (manual AND auto) so u should win easy esp since ur modded. the v6 has much more torque than the that torqueless civic.

yea its true, many varibles can determine the outcome of the race. he could b a horrible driver when it comes to shifting and he could have a bad launch. as for me, im pretty decent with launching and all i hav to do is floor it, if i stay on D, instead of slap shifting it. lol

but any tips on launching with an auto, fot on brake and gas and let go of brake while flooring it on gas pedal, or N rev up to like 2000 rpms and slam to D???

tips would b nice thanks

Those were some impressive videos, they will make me contemplate everything i thought i knew about cars for a while.
I would also like to know about any tips for launching better with an automatic.

^^ looks like the SI got a good jump and started to pull a little bit before the G let off around 65mph. lol at the two guys in the SI (dumbasses) ive ran into ALOT of cocky SI drivers like that. you'd think they just beat a vette by the way they sounded. gaurantee that G was a bone stock automatic.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cn7gun-QIlU

looks like the same G caught him in the top end in this freeway run, after the SI jumped on him early.

kiet is pretty much dead on. you will catch him in the top end for sure. so ya 1/4 mile run with a decent 60' should take him out

There are some like the typical H-T, clubrsx members.

Most 8th gen owners around my way are cool though.

slap shifting ... f###ing poser -

you realize that the ideal shift points are already programmed, you may rev higher, but you will never accelerate faster than what the ecu has been programmed to do on WOT

I agree. I used to have an '02 RSX-S with intake, exhaust and Hondata reflash and I still think my Accord is faster with my setup right now. The RSX-S "might" have been able to take it from a high speed roll when he RSX-S was in its powerband, but they are gutless under 5200rpms for the most part.

When I ran the Civic Si's, we did a 30 mph roll and a dig and the torque difference, as you pointed out, made all the difference. I jumped 2-3 cars fairly quickly both times. It's like when I run my buddy's modded E36 M3 - he makes 30+wtq on me and when we run, he jumps 2-3 cars on me right away and then I can stay within that range because we are making similar whp #s. But I can't do squat because when he punches it, it's reacting right away even if he's at 2k rpms. The Accord vs. the M3 though, it's like the Accord vs. the Civic. I have to be in my powerband to make it interesting (but he's still faster no matter what )

I couldn't tell who won that race - and BTW, that Civic Si wasn't stock as far as I could tell. It at least had an aftermarket exhaust. You could tell when it was reving when they were staging.

All I know is that my Accord beat an Civic Si with ALL the bolt ons. I jumped out a car on him and it stayed like that for the entire run. I have most of the bolt ons for my Accord, as well.
