apexi ws2 or manaflow?

alright guys i am shopping for some new exhaust. i love my evo2 but i am sick of the muffler scraping everywhere i go. i don't want to raise my car so i am gonna change my exhaust setup. anyways i've had this for 3 years now so its time for something different.

my choices are

apexi ws2
http://www.apexi-usa.com/product_exh...=176&pageNum=1

manaflow
http://www.magnaflow.com/02product/s...ne=all&id=6106

i guess i would choose which one would be louder.

I like the magnaflows but I love the WS2's.

Some may say it is a little too loud but in all honesty they are about the same. 3.56thgen has Magnaflows and I have WS2 catback.

I'd weld magnaflow mufflers to your existing catback. Should be less than $200

They also have a 'race series' if you want it louder...

800 is a bit much to be honest. Magnaflow would be the cheaper route and you have many choices in tips.

I like the magnaflow cans and the WS2 tips. I wish they made a muffler like that.

The WS2 is a little too loud?! I have them and they are probably one of the quietest catback systems I've ever heard. They sound only slightly louder then the stock exhaust until you go WOT. I really enjoy the WS2 for the fact that they are quiet compared to most catbacks.

$800 installed seems about normal, I think I paid $850 installed.

Yea IMO they aren't loud. They are throaty and even when you hit WOT you hear your intake or engine more.

WS2 is pretty quiet. If you want other people to know you have exhaust I would look elsewhere lol. I love it though

I could do WS2 for 800 out the door Chad It's a nice quiet exhaust system.. Most people don't have the WS2 for the 03-05 accord in stock these days, but I can get it directly from Apex'i since we're good friends with them.

Apexi FTW. I say do it if it's they're rare or you could go custom.

I think Apexi sells just the mufflers too.

I'll be the contrarian again and suggest OBX.

The piping doesn't care whether its JDM or chineese, and neither does your exhaust gas. Its a good looking design and alumanized tubing has served many 1000+hp street/strip cars just fine.

By the time it wears out, you'll be on to your next car.

I have the WS2 catback exhaust and I love them as well. Like ikethegreat said they aren't very loud until you hit WOT. I paid $850 CDN just for the catback system and I installed it myself along with Richie's J-Pipe. The setup sounds great.

i would go with the ws2. i have the ws and i love the fact that they are quite and subtle. but then again if you're looking for loud these might not cut it for you

I think the magnaflow round can style is Fugly.... But if you compare the oval cans to the Apexi WS Oval cans.... I'd take magnaflow simply because of cost. Magnaflow will perform almost on par with Apexi WS, and at fraction of the cost. What i've seen a lot of people do is take the magnaflow oval mufflers and make custom 2.5-3" piping for them.

It's a nice unique alternative.

If I had the cash, I would have picked up the Tanabe Medalion Touring system... but it's just too ridiculously expensive.
