Ingalls Torque Damper Installed PIX***

Ok now this is a great great buy and Exelerate put a good group buy together. This mod is extremely easy to install took me less than 10 min and def helps to reduce Engine oscillations and wheel hop A TON!!!! Now a lot of people have mentions extremely bad cabin vibrations ... I noticed NONE. Idk if I have a bad feel for it or what but I didnt notice this at all. Last but not least before the pix a lot of people have asked questions about the stock strut bar on the V6 6 Speeds and it fit mine perfectly. Ingalls provides all necessary replacement bolts (see pix below)

Below is a pic of all of the bolts on top of the strut tower and strut bar

Last but not least ... this is what i did in school today

Very nice. I think I want to get this for my car now. Do you feel a difference with acceleration like less hesitation?

Nice, because since the mods over the winter I no longer get traction in first gear. This is due on Tuesday according to the shipping estimate, and hopefully this will make the track worthwhile.

Thank you so much for finally dropping the cash to see if it would work with the 6 speed bar. Looks like there's just enough on the studs where you wouldn't have to worry about anything coming loose. Looks like I have another mod to purchase now!

Well I got around to putting this bad boy on tonight. I drove it around for a bit, and noticed very little noise/vibration at all. I opened it up in first gear but I had left the TCS on so as soon as the tires started spinning it cut the throttle. No wheelhop in that instance though, I'm going to drive around a little more tomorrow. I was going to take it to the track tomorrow, since it's supposed to be nice for a change, but the freaking track has slicks only

^^^well due to how u praised it I changed my mind and decided to buy 1 matt. You better not let me down boy!! LOL. I am hoping I dont notice the vibration. I am going to put the damper on its softest setting and see how that plays out. Luckily my CC limit was randomly increased so I was able to buy it.

so you had to unbolt the strut bar it appears, to put this bracket under it.

does it make any difference now that the one side of the strut bar is a 1/4 inch higher then the other? Or am i totally off about this?

I think u have to grind off some of the ETD bracket to get the bar to fit. I used a tsx one since it had 2 holes instead of the 4 hole mount

UPDATE!!!!!

I finally got around to looking at the instructions to my ETD, because I was wondering about the different settings when I realized I PUT IT ON WRONG!!. I also noticed eugene3524 you put it on wrong as well. If you look at the previous pics you notice how my ETD is mounted to the chassis bracket ON TOP OF THE BRACKET. After reading the instructions I've noticed that it needs to be BELOW THE BRACKET (see pics). This makes the ETD lie more parallel to the Engine itself and I'd assume would result in better performance (I haven't driven it yet) I also actually tourqed the bolts to spec and adjusted the stiffness this time too. Well I'm on my way out to pick up a friend so I'll let you know what (if any) difference there is.

I think this looks a lot cleaner too

Picture showing the clearing of the brake/TCS lines

And this is what I did in school today !

Ahhh I see what you're talking about now. At first I didn't see the difference but now I do. Cool, let us know how it feels and if you think it's a worthwhile mod. I've debated over this mod more than any other for some reason.
