Smile Motor mounts and dampers

The following mounts and dampers have been installed:

Innovative motor mounts
Ingalls Engine Torque Damper
CL-S Front Dampener
TL-S Rear Dampeners
TL-S Tranny Mount

Look at the engine movement during the dyno, the engine barely moves at the cut-off

That is very impressive. I must have my ETD on the softest setting or something, because, even though actual traction has increased, it still allows bad wheelhop if I launch around 2500 or higher.

Get this thing to the track; we at least want to see what this beast will trap. And the dyno numbers would be nice

^actually my ETD doesn't do anything....would say 95% is from the TL-S and CL-S dampener

The weird thing is, with just the right side Innovative mount on, my car doesn't get **** for traction, but has no wheel hop at the track. but with the ETD coupled with that Innovative mount, traction is impressive but now wheelhop is back

All this crap has me seriously thinking about just parting out my car and putting it back to stock to become a fun daily driver.

Something is wrong; it looks like the torque curve drops off at about the VTEC conversion point. And IIRC his car put out close to 275 whp initially.

yes, that is because i had vtech problem, the vtech didn't kick on.....Paul and I are trying to figure out what's the problem, it maybe the settings in the FIC, at least we found the rpm was not calibrated right when I did the dyno

Sorry for a noob question but where do these go and how hard is it to put on? CL-S Front Dampener, TL-S Rear Dampeners, TL-S Tranny Mount.

Thanks

Hows the noise/ride with all that?
Is the TL-S/CL-S stuff making the mount noises/rattles any worse?

The noise only appears when the car is cold and will disappear after a few miles of driving, it may be the starter got stuck.
The TL-S/CL-S stuff suppose to damp all the noises and rattles, it can't make it worse~~~

My rpms werent calibrated either. Theother day i was getting into her a little bit and she fell on her face. I hooked up the laptop to see what was going on and saw the rpms were at about 500 less than what they were supposed to be. I set them correctly and it didnt happen again, but i had to shut down because the AFR's were getting too rich

^I just found out that the FIC doesn't hold the calibration after I restart the car. And the rpm doesn't have a linear offset,it is a variable offset. For me, it reads 550rpm at idle and only 2500rpm at 4000rpm, that was why the vtech didn't hit when I did the dyno~~~

I just got off the phone with AEM this morning about this issue, what they are suggesting is that there is noise on the signal line causing random pulses which is throwing off the RPM reading, they are suggesting to add some 2K-2.2K ohm resistors to the Cam and Crank signal lines to pull noise out. It sounds reasonable to me, this Friday I will be purchaseing a osciliscope (been needing to for a while, just the $$$$), to investigate this further.

are you sure you by adding resistors can pull the noise out.....normally we add caps.....

We are trying to force the signal to ground to prevent spiking

Nice, but since you have innovative mounts, any type of dampers after that is overkill IMO. Maybe just the tls granny mount and that it
