ECU Removal

Hey Guys

Does anyone know where the ECU is and how to remove it? I've only heard rumors its under the front passenger seat under the carpet but I believe that was for a 6th gen.

Thanks,

its under the center console directly underneath the radio/navi. if you remove the small triangular shaped panels on the console next to the footwells on each side the ecu is right there... the 4 harness connectors can be seen/accessed from the passenger side footwell

Hey Guys

So I have this cunning plan.

I called Jet performance and they do say they support 07 v6 accords for ECM upgrades.

I've been contacting around to find a spare ECM to run so the car isn't offline when I send my ecm or the spare in for an upgrade. The only snag I can foresee is if there is something in another module say ignition, tcm or other that may be tied to the specific one that comes out of my car.

My car is an auto so I already starting pinging junkyards for an 07 v6 ecm module and they are plentiful.

Are they that bad?

I had the idea of a spare ecm first to keep my car running but also if a spare did work in my car I'd keep the original and send them the spare in case they f'd it up.

My only issue with a couple people having bad experiences is in my business you only often hear about things when they go sour not when they went well.

^^ Well by all means try it out and see how it goes... I don't really know how effective their product is (jet)... But it can't be as impressive as Hondata (considering they don't even have any products for the j series, yet), but if you try it and have a good experience, please let us know...
