teaser : 350z exhaust....

...so im modding my 350z exhaust to fit my 6 speed. doing the oem z midpipe (the one with the resonator in the middle)connected to my stock j pipe (deleted third cat). then the stock midpipe flange is mated to the flange on the crappy but ok axle back piping leading to the muffler with the piping for the tips elongated

Interesting. Curious to see how it comes out and how it sounds, although I hope you're not expecting it to sound like a 350Z.

Interesting idea and project, but remember that it's not only the muffler that makes the sound. The Comptech exhaust is pretty close to the 350Z sound, minus the truck-like awfullness above 5000RPM

great job, and painting it too!
i'm anxious to hear how it sounds

edit:
just heard the vid, pretty quiet at idle, but sounds pretty good when you rev it up. i agree with sirchadwick...time for jpipe and test pipe to give it a deeper sound

from what ive heard, once you remove the reso, it makes its really raspy sounding...dont want that. and plus, i like quietness of it until you step on it!

looks good, I wonder how much all that exhaust weighs in comparision to the OEM mufflers lol

I'm also wondering if those tips would work on the stock exhaust...I need to extend my tips out now that I have the HFP rear lip

can you measure the diameter of where they attach to the pipe and the length?
