Help

So i have this 4 banger 2dr coupe, witch is automatic and i love my car and everything, but would love to drop a J-series and a 6-speed tranny. Knowing that my best option would be to trade it in for a v6 6-speed, i still am very attached to my car and would like to know if there is anyone who has done such a project before?

I think there are more ppl who have replaced the 24 head with a 20 head from an rsx or something of the sort. Good for boost applications, but expensive.

What are your goals for the car? Power? Looks? Just to say you have a v6 6spd?

I honestly think you have plenty of options with the K24, probably moreso than those of us with the J30A4/5.

I personally love forced induction, so I would say keep the 4 banger, do a mild build w/ just internals, maybe some headwork. Or better yet.. a k20 head from an rsx or something of the sort. Slap on a turbo kit and call it a day.

Of course this is just the basic summary, you'll need plenty of $$$ to do all that lol, with tuning and labor if you're not doing it yourself.

if you want the v6 6spd, find one. Unless you have a crapload of money to blow, I wouldn't. I'd rather use that money to boost the 2.4

Depends on how far you want to go power wise, a stright j30/6sp depending on what kind of deals can be gotten is probably around $5-$6K, then doing a full out J36 and tl 6spd is more like $8-$10K.
