Dyno Results_>

Just thought I would post up my numbers for today, since i had the Ported and polished thread let you guys know where I stand N/A. Don't have the scanner hooked up but got retuned today. Best pulls dynoed around 260 - 264 hp and torque 210 - 225. I got the sheet the last pull we printed after several pulls (car was extremely hot) 246.1 wHp and w215Tq. On a dyno dynamics dyno. Couldn't be happier since my original dyno back with intake and exhaust at 197 hp and 193tq. Hopefully my new cooling mods will help out with the performance.

Performance Mods:
Custom Wrinkle Black Ported & Polished Plenum Intake Manifold (not installed)

I think he's using Greddy E-Manage Ultimate?? I could be wrong though.

The reason the IM wasn't installed was because they sent him backa 6MT IM which has the butterfly valves. The auto IM does not. So there would be no way for him to control the opening/closing of the valves. He had to send it back and they will give him the right one this time (crosses fingers).

Those are some great numbers, especially for the 5AT. That's without any type of cams and high compression also. Good luck with the build and S/C

We definitely should. I'm in Nassau County and would love to see/hear your car! There is usually a pretty big meet at the Best Buy on Old Country Road by the Roosevelt Field Mall on Thursday nights around 8:30PM. Tonight since it's raining Idk how many cars are gonna be there. I won't be able to make it cuz I'm going to PA for a Vdub meet. Have you ever been to DPA (Deer Park Avenue)? Usually Friday & Saturday nights they have big meets too in the McDonalds parking lot on RT 231.

Dayyum, how did the bolt-ons and P&P increase the HP that much? Must be a really good tune.

If we go with a 20% drivetrain loss for the Auto, he would be puttin out over 300 Crank HP, correct? So at least a 60 HP increase w/o any internal work done.

^I agree with the above. I just find it really odd that a J30 with just bolt-ons and porting and polishing would achieve that much. Thats why I want to see the dyno and the air fuel ratios. A tune can only give you so much. Our cars computers will de-tune the tune anyway after about a week or two. Then you have to reset the computer. That is where the AEM FIC comes into play with the O2 piece. I know the ultimate can advance the timing however on our cars you can not do that because of our crank sensors. I am dying to see these sheets. I also wonder if this dyno was calibrated correctly as well. Sorry for being so pessimistic about these numbers but a J35 auto puts down around the same numbers. I also wonder what gear the car was dynoed in that too makes a big difference. Please post up the dyno for us.

Hey guys, check out qnzthg89's dyno post above. It's almost the same numbers. Maybe the tune that 7thgencordcoupe showed us is for real. Both of the guys are automatics and have almlost the same bolt-ons.

You think the differences are due to the Port and Polish and E-manage Ultimate?

You can change your vtec engagement point but not shift points. Thats completely different. Is vtec what you are talking about and if so if you lower your vtec lower then 4600 you are hurting your torque curve and your upper end hp. That was covered many times in different threads over multiple forums. Im not here to debate I just want to see the dyno to see these numbers. They just seem so high.
