ya ive been following that thread since it started. the numbers are definetely impressive! i <3 turbo's

i think 6k for the kit isnt that bad peter, when you compare it to the comptech kit in hp to dollar ratio. its the few grand in mods to compliment it and another few tucked aside you'll need for the unexpected that hurts. you gotta pay to play.... i think you and i know all about that LOL

for the same price id sell my car and add that money to the Down payment of a C6 vette which makes almost the same HP stock and is RWD so it could actually get traction lol

Any track results for these modded cars and how many psi of boost can the factory head gaskets handle? Are those with this modification still running pump gas (92/93/94 octane) or are they running leaded fuels? Is this designed to run with the factory exhaust or with the cats removed? (obviously it would need a down pipe)

exactly! as much as i hate to admit it because i love the accord, investing 6k into it isnt worth it because pushing 350-400whp doesnt mean anything if you cant put it down. The video of that gold turbo TL, all you see is him spin through every gear and not get anywhere.

plus you think about it how horrible is that guys gas mileage? A magazine (i dont remember which one) did a big article on the C6 Vette how everyone things OHV and pushrod motors are yesterdays news, but the thing still has 430HP stock and can do a 1/4 mile in 12.X and still if driven right can get 30 MPG and 500+mi to a tankful

Thats right, im totally with you on this one man. now imagine dropping 6k into the vette for a SC or turbo, now thats an investment i can justify.

for me its not about whether its worth it for me to drop 6k on my accord or not. its a matter of i don't have 6k to spend.

you guys are totally missing the point

not only is that TL putting down more WHP than a C6 LS3 vette, but if you buy a C6 vette, well you'll just be another guy driving a C6 vette lol. what would be more impressive to watch, a vette run an 11 sec 1/4? or a TL/accord running 11's?

how many people can say they have a 400+ whp TL/accord? exclusiveness is PRICELESS! and some people are willing to pay the money for it. first off, you really have to love the car to even think about doing something like this. obviously its not worth it if you dont =/

That i completely agree with, i would much rather have the accord with 400+whp than a vette just to make some haters shut their mouths, plus its a car you wouldnt expect to be pushing over 400hp+ and running 11's. But like i said, only problem will be putting that power down. You would need slicks and some heavy duty axles just to get it into the 11's. If it wasnt for the fact the car is fwd and gets no traction, i would totally get the turbo too.

Unless the tune is perfect it will blow ringlands in a hurry, anyone wanting to install this should (must in my opinon) have a good wideband gauge and knock monitor, between these two you can tell if the tune is on or you need to lift before blowing, a proper gauge compliment for this would be AFR, Knock, Boost and since it is turbo , oil pressure. That group will give the driver the data needed to know if it is running safe or not.

Saw the TL exactly one week ago today at a local car meet. Hood was closed, didn't know it was t/c until i got home and saw the vids (from after I left).
