Precat w/ J-Pipe and Borla

As of now, I have the RV6P J-Pipe V2, Test Pipe, and Borla catback Exhaust as many know, but I was seriously considering the Precat deletes and was wondering about the sound, gains, losses (torque etc.), smell, and O2 Sims. Now I know some people have said ome things about defoulers (What are these?) I know the PCM looks at the O2 sensors for STFTs and LTFTs so how will the O2 sims affect that? I know the (good) O2s switch from approx .1v to about .9v. Do O2 sims just replicate that .1v to .9v switching? How exactly do these work? Also des anyone have this set up and have any words on sounds, gains, losses, smells, etc.?

It does smell, but its not horrible. Your exhaust tips turn brown quickly so you need to clean them often.

I cant tell you about the gains/losses because my had been down for a while before i installed these.

The O2 sims do not go on your primary o2 sensors, they go on the sensors after the cat. They just move the sensor out of the direct line of the exhaust gases. The secondary sensors dont determine your fuel trims. They just tell whether or not your cats are working properly.

They cause codes like p0420 Catylist efficiency below threshold if your cats are falling apart and not functioning as well as they should be.

Matt, we can always meet up. You rode in my car when I had stock cats on my car and now I have the pre cats. We have a very similar setup so this would be able to show you how it really feels. Give me a call sometime.

Ive had the entire richies setup and magnaflow catback for over a year and not a single problem or CEL. In terms of gains, theres A LOT! i just parted out my richies setup and catback and my car feels SOOOOOO much slower its killing me to drive it stock now. The overall sound becomes a bit louder and a tiny bit raspy but a very subtle nice rasp. I would definitely recommend them. I got a set of precats for sale so PM m!
