Anyone did the stage 3 exhaust mod on there accord?

Okay so stage 3 mod is when you cut off your stock resonator and mid muffler and put in a dynomax resonator. A lot of the TL guys at acurazine have been doing this. LMK if you have did it. Here is a link

http://tl.acurazine.com/forums/showthread.php?t=756462

Stage 1 is mid muffler removal - not much change
Stage 2 is mid muffler removal and resonator changed for magnaflow resonatory (louder but a bit raspy)
Stage 3 is mid muffler removal and Dynamax resonator taking place of stock resonator (deeper G35 sound and a bit louder)
Stage 4 is taking both out altogether - loudest and raspy.

So what am I if I have jpipe, test pipe and catback?

I would actually like to ditch either the resonator or the pre-muffler but rust would be my enemy.

Haha, only TL guys would come up with 'stages' for removing pieces of the stock exhaust...

I think that most over here (happily) don't use the 'stage' system, but I'm sure some have done the mods corresponding to 'stage 3' - So I imagine you'll get some impressions.

Worst case, it should perform/sound/behave exactly like it does on the TL, so those impressions should be a direct carry-over.

since we are on the subject of exhaust sounds, don't you just love it when your exhaust sets off someone's car alarm?

I always laugh at people making up "stages" to mods

like when people say "Ive got a stage 4 clutch" and you ask them what brand or type of disk/ plate. Then they just say "stage 4"

There actually are stages to clutches, cams, etc...
there are also stages to turbo kits and SC kits for a variety of cars..

But stages for exhaust modifications.. That's a little off the chart.

I was referring to when they dont mention a brand but only "its stage so and so" as if the brand IS stage so and so.
