CL-S muffler ?

Ok, i've got an 03 v6 sedan auto and a magnaflow catback system and i've got major drone! It resonates throughout the cab and i'm looking to change out the mufflers. Has anyone else had this problem? Are the CL-S mufflers any quieter than the magnaflow? Is there anything out there that will give me performance without the drone?

r u auto or stick, cuz i think it has alot to do with that. when i'm on the freeway with a few people in the car and gas it, its just loud and also when i'm going uphill. I'm looking for something closer to stock, but still a little aggressive thats why i was wondering about the CL-S mufflers. I would imagine they would sound close to stock but have the performance. Does anyone out there have this setup?

Is it throughout the rev range? I have a custom system with magnaflows and I drone from 2.5-2.75k but otherwise its quiet.

I have CL-S mufflers with no resonators/pre-mufflers and custom piping and it has very little drone with a deep aggressive tone. I'm a 6 speed though.

yea, it's in that range and any time i get on it a little. I do have passengers in my car quite often and the extra load + auto seems to equal resonation!

I have the same problem. I just put cl-s mufflers on today, and at first I could not tell a difference at all. But as I would accelerate I continued to hear "another" car around me. Come to find out, that noise was me. Anyways its factory quiet through 95% of rpm range. However I cannot hold the car at a level to drone. In fact, its much harder to manipulate the noise past 1st gear (AV6). Did you guys try anything else? I'm considering getting the rest of the exhaust system from the seller. Or maybe replacing factory accord resonator with piping; I was told the cl-s mufflers have resonators built in.....?

To the OP, check and make sure all of your hangers and clamps are in place. A few months after I installed the pro-cats, I started to get really bad drone. As it turned out when I took it to the shop, A rubber clamp broke causing metal from the j-pipe to touch the frame. Just a thought

Used in the classifieds or on Acurazine in the black market. They pop up every once in a while.

I put them on my av6, first with resonators and didnt make a difference. I later cut out both resonators and it sounds pretty good, especially at high rpms. Low rpms has a deep aggressive sound, mid range its more throaty like 350z, decent though. I will put up a link later this week.
