Just a FYI....

Just a little fact I found out and tested. If you have a 03 AV6 which has NEVER had the firmware updated by Honda, you DO NOT have a speed limiter The ECU on my car has never been upgraded (confirmed this with my HDS and I managed a hair over 150MPH before shutting down on a dead stright strech of road.

if anyone is actually trying this.... make sure your tires are rated for those kinds of speeds.... you don't want to risk a blowout at that kind of speed

Crazy Paul. But nice to know. I bet its cause your a 6 speed cause my car is limited at 138. According to my gps thats what it topped out at before it just stopped going any higher. I don't recommend doing that on any roads but it was an open stretch and no one on road so I figured what the hell... lol..

I would need one hell of a downhill stretch of road to reach 150... or an M90 My tires can handle the speed, shame my car can't get me there.

What is our car governed to? I was under the impression it was around 140mph.

Get a HDS hooked up and read the firmware version on the ECU.

Old people... why put money and labor into something if you don't put it to use. I'm glad you drove your car that fast...now people know you dont need a 60000 $ car to drive fast. Or Honda's don't make fast cars anymore. First thing you say to yourself is 150. Hence it being in the performance section. This was his experience our opinions on how bold and mature he is don't mean anything, time to find a ECU =] THANKS for the info. Lol
