On second thought, I don't think me having a rear lip is gonna be a problem cuz it's OEM and we can just take it off during testing.

problem solved.

Most of the people who received our exhaust are very happy so chances are you will be as well. I have received numerous emails from enthusiasts who feel that the sound issues are unjustified. Sound is subjective so there's no way to please everyone. I'm not sure if we are going to redesign this system I just need an automatic to see how it sounds. We did the development on a six speed. Please email me after your installation and let me know how you like it. If you are not satisfied, let me know immediately and we'll take it back. No worries and thanks for your input, I'm anxious to see how you like it.

You da man David Borla....
I'm anxious to see how I like it too. So far I'm pleased. I know how it looks, and that's very fine with me. I know it is of very good quality because I've followed Borla since I had my Mustang. The package that mine came in was very neatly packed and it did come with clamps and even a Borla hat. Should have it on my car tomm. and will post my impressions on the sound.

oh yeah forgot to mention that this thing is light as hell!! I picked up the box and almost threw it over my head ....might just be my big muscles

x03BlackAccV6x,

My official clamps are on the way. I have talked with David via e-mail and he was very concerned about me having a pleasant experience. One of his techs is going to see what they can do to fix the tip centering issue over the phone with my installer. Let me know how yours turns out and if the tip leans to the left.

I was getting concerned at first that maybe there was something wrong with the sound of my exhaust with the droning. Well I might have miss-understood Hongda's interpretation of it because a guy came up to me and said my car has a very exotic sound. I think it just needed some time to work itself in because I really like what I hear as of late.

David Borla,

I really don't want to go through the process of un-installing the Borla and shipping it back to you. How about this....you guys test the exhaust on the autos and in fact there is something wrong with it. Assuming its problem with piping or whatever, then you just send the part(s) that solves the resonance problem, to us. Let me know what you think. If it's not possible, i guess i have no choice but to send it back.
I really want to keep this system. The last resort i would go to is to install (glasspack) resonator, as suggested by Relentless.

Condensation coming from exhaust is normal, right? I noticed water dripping from one of the pipings from the Borla. This doesn't have anything to do with the resonance problem, does it?

Hey Mr Borla,

if you are going to redesign this system for the auto, can u make it a bit longer for the people who has the oem rear lip, if Kari is the one doing testings, she knows what i am talking about, a lot of people are complaining how the first system is too short for the OEM lip and have to get an extension somewhere else, i think if you make a system that looks good enough, most poeple would buy it since the gains are already there!

I'm with JDMJ30 on this one, if the exhaust is going to cost around $500, it can't be that expensive to make the tip 1-2 inches longer.

Don't worry guys, I will work with David on this one to see what can be done regarding the tips not being long enough.

If you make the tip longer you are assuming that everyone that wants the exhaust is going to have some kind of body kit. That is not always going to be the case. I don't have a kit and if the exhaust was sticking out the back it would look stupid on mine. There should be two size options for exhaust buyers. Making it longer would just piss off those of us with the stock look.

i think if you got a add on or body kit besides stock. when i mean stock i mean stock no kit. If you need to extend the tips or whatnot the customer should do that not borla etc. I know the back is oem but its a 'add on'.
just thought i would give my input also...

How is it too short when it clears my stock bumper? The OEM unit never did that.

I would purchase the Borla kit tomorrow if the sound problems were resolved and the tips were long enough for the OEM body kit.
