Road Racing

Ok so I am going to attempt to get my car sponsored for road racing (06 v6 6mt) and was wondering what the best options would be as far as performance goes...

Basically i have called every performance shop in the surrounding states and no one can give me an answer because they haven't done any serious work on the j30. So what im thinking is should i just do all the bolt on's and find a new engine management for the tuning or does anyone else know about an accord and its list of mods that's pushing around 300 whp?

Thanks for any insight,

Johnathon

The ct engineering supercharger for j32 will help you achieve that 300whp mark

You can't just get your car sponsored for road racing. People won't just hand things to you. It takes alot more than that. Trust me, I'm already out there. You'll have to show that longevity exist, how much time is out there, what type of audience will be out there, how much coverage will be out there etc. It's alot easier to get sponsored as a show car than as a road racing car. I would first start off with all the bolt ons available, and a Limited slip differential. Than gutt weight and see what you can do out there first.

and it won't do you any well for road racing. You will achieve better lap times and consistency with a stock j30a4 N/A with all the bolt ons and deleted cats.

A comptech S/C will cause heat soak, create extremely high ECT/EGT's and you will see only 300whp at the first lap... You will see a dramatic decrease in HP before you even get a chance to heat up the tires to go balls out.

^^ yup paul can hook u up. Sponsorships are hard to get, even for show cars. Plus usually they involve you going to a number of events, spending lots of $ and taking numerous pictures consistently. You have to show experience in the area u wanna get sponsored in too. If u are willing to do all that go for it. Goodluck my friend.

lol good luck but thats your issue right there you think horsepower is gonna make a fast road race car......sponsorship has little to do with your driving ability for the record...businesses need exposure and a guarantee on return...you have to start small target a small new "up and coming" business that little to no people know about and market yourself to them...learn about their product so you can educate people when they ask "hey whats that on your car"...also important is even if they give you 50 buks politely thank them and take it and use it becuz thats free money and 50 buks more than you had before even if they dont wanna hand you money which most people dont like doing maybe they can pay for your oil change or some other small thing...idk its difficult yes but the little money you save on the small things helps improve the more expensive tasks...discuss

Thanks for clarifying. I had no idea. Is that why you went to a j35 swap?
