RV6 J-pipe installed! :D

Hey guys, just install my RV6 J-pipe V3 on my AV6 M6! I d'ont know for you guys, but when I test drive my car... I don't see any difference between oem j-pipe and rv6 one... I does the same sound, no change on the sound for sure. I found that the car feel more powerfull and quick response better... But give me your opinion!

Plus 1 on the quicker response
But what exhaust do u have jpipe connected too? I'm assuming u have oem exhaust. Cause there is change of sound with jpipe and aftermarket exhaust.

I got a Borla complete exhaust system...

This is why I ask this question, because I want to ear the nice sound of our V6! I tought that if I install a J-pipe I would be satisfied, but seriously It didnt change the sound at all! My mecano and I were like, wth? We rev it stock before install, and after install we rev it, and it was the same!!!

I will make a video as you can judge by yourself!

It still has to break in too. It will get louder as the walls of the tubing become covered with exhaust residue. Thats a lot of money to spend just to change the sound though. You could have just gotten a louder catback used or removed some resonators for much cheaper.

Ho seriously! I didnt know that... I will let some times! And for the sound, I have made wrong explication! I didn't bought the J-pipe only for sound! The power gains are very great, thats the first reason for me to buy it! But for sure, I want to give more sound at my v6, so it was a 2e reason! Like the K&N short ram I have installed and for the Borla cat-back!

RV6 J-pipe are very a nice parts, very nice construction quality! I am very satisfied with the product and my mecano was very impressed by the quality too! He told me that the fitment was just like an oem and here, in canada, it is very rare to find good aftermarket parts that are quality!!

I hear ya on the rarity of parts in Canada. I have a good friend who lives there and he makes ME buy his parts and either ship of wait for him to pick up.

Glad your pleased with the power, I just got my J-pipe too and can't wait to enjoy it. When I put Y-pipes (J-pipes) on my old cars they did what your describing, there was little difference in sound till they were broken in.

So many exclamations! So happy!

You will notice a difference in tone once it's broken in. The Borla exhaust is very quiet. If you want it to be slightly louder, have one of the resonators deleted from it. It will then sound nice and aggressive. However, you can also get the Precat Deletes, which are like test pipes that delete your primary cats. If you get those, you will want to keep all resonators in place, trust me!

That's why I went with the Apex'i World Sport II exhaust. Things sounds stock till you hit VTEC. I just ordered the Excelerate Performance V2 jpipe yesterday. I should have it friday, will try to install sunday. I'm hoping it doesn't change my exhaust note too much.

Congrats on your new J-pipe.

^^ The tone of your exhaust will change, however the volume shouldn't change all that much. You will definitely hear a difference, but I guarantee you will love it. Switching from my RV6 V1 to a custom Jpipe made a very noticeable and rewarding change in sound.
