Re: Excelerate Jpipe installed

This is a rolling pull from second to 70. I hit the rev limiter...the car gets to it faster now and I'm still adjusting. Enjoy the link.

I have a rattle in 1st - 3rd gear around 3K rpm, thinking one of my bolts my be loose, but other than that, I love this jpipe. I thought my car moved pretty well w/ I/E and UR pully. The Jpipe breaths fresh life into the J30

I will post a video as soon as I can. I was hoping I could post vids using Tapatalk

That was my buddy's idea to take that off too. Only two bolts made it a lot easier to install.

The exhaust alone picked the car up a little bit. The look, feel, and sound of the world sport 2 cat back takes the cake.:beer:

looks good, i like the collector design much better than the others, if only someone would make a 2.5" j-pipe to 3" collector that would be the ultimatum!

DMunny did you reset your ecu? If not do it now. You will see some more gains.

I think the difference is length. You may have to get special hangers if you buy a coupe exhaust.

It's $450 + shipping. Unless you sign up in the group buy thread http://www.v6performance.net/forums/...-j-pipe-4.html a few threads down, then we will get $25 off if a couple more people sign up

I'm sure an exhaust shop could modify it to match your exhaust.

i have an opinion on resetting the ECU...well the day i went to the Dyno a couple weeks ago my car had no battery in it for a couple months...i basically connected the battery then drove to the dyno, i just wanted to make a point that i did 4 pulls on the dyno and the numbers did not change so drastically from the first pull to the last, almost no change at all... So idk if the power would be different if i drove the car daily for a week prior to the dyno but i couldnt be happier with my numbers given that i just connected the battery after the car sat for two months with no battery in it

Just wondering, what are you going to do with your xlr8 version 1 j pipe? I have richies v2 and might want to upgrade, if you are interested in selling.

i think Richies V2 is similar to the xlr8 v1, so i dont think it would be an upgrade. Would be like buying the same thing over again.

The XLR8 V1 should make more power than the RV6 V2 given the longer primaries and much better merge. But if you're gonna upgrade, go with one of the newer pipes. Either the RV6 V3, XLR8 V2, or wait for ATLP's V3

Apparently ATLP tested their V2 and Richies V3 and the RV6 made more low end while the ATLP made more power up top. Interesting results. Dyno was done on a bone stock car I believe.
