Smile blown autotragic, what options do i have?

Last week, my transmission failed. It downshifted in 2nd gear and just revved up. I had it towed to the dealer and was quoted near 5k for a new one. Just curious if a j32a3 tranny would bolt up to my j30 or should i just get the engine with it. I still wanna kerp this one auto for the time being. Let me knkw ehat you think guys. Thanks.

I do not think they are the same, and if they are I know they suffer from the same failures as the ACCORD trans. So you would be in the same boat. Be careful where you get it from because a lot of ACCORDS are in salvage yards for the failed trans reason.

Seems like you plan on doing the swap sometime in the future. If that is the case why do the job twice? Might as well do it all now since you have a failed trans... Just my 0.02

Do the J32 engine/trans at the same time. And yea ^^ what he said. Sounds like you want to do the 6spd at some point in the future, unless I misread. If so, just do it now.

Yeah, i was thinking the same thing with the failures. Im just gonna park it for now and save up for the full swap. Im gonna tear the engine down and rebuild it, not taking any chances with bearings and rings possibly being worn. Thanks guys, ill let you know when i need help with the wiring and ecu programming, lol.
