Does this injector mod apply to us??

Looks like a free 270cc to 490cc injector mod. No need to change clips and stuff.

Modded OEM 270cc injectors = 490cc - Club RSX Message Board

I am getting a long block tomorrow and i could do this with the 6 injectors that come with them.

It looks like it would. However I wouldn't do this unless you have a separate injector control system like an AEM or Hondata. 310cc injectors already start to cause rich issues, much less 490

Of course. But the savings of 68 for rdx injector and 8 bucks for tc clips is roughly 75x6=450

If you're going FI, or have a fuel controller, it'll be worth it. However the rdx injectors do have an even better spray pattern, so doing this to one of them would be the ultimate mod

Its 3xx on eBay for rdx and clips. Your going to get crappy atomization to gain more flow. For N/A better atomization helps a lot.

Rdx injectors have been tweaked to 750cc easily. Another reason why I got em

true. but free mod for temp before i get rdx is worth thinking of.

obviously i wont be using upgraded injectors till my hondata is set up.

by they way, the link i sent, the guy sent the injectors to rc eng and they said that flow pattern was good and turned to excellent. how bad can "good" or "excellent" be.

Flow pattern is not atomization. It just sprays good

I personally wouldn't do it unless you know you need more fuel. I have worked heads, RL cams and DTB IM and lost power when going into the 11's with AFR. I am currently at 12.8 AFR at WOT on RDX injectors and have tons of injector left.

It an easy mod even with engine in the car, if you need it.

Honestly, I don't think the screens are going to modify flow pattern much. It's like using the shower setting vs the cone setting on a garden hose. one has less pressure and more streams(but bigger globs) or one stream and a cone pattern to spread.

I think the non screened might actually work better.

Are the RL or TLS injector a direct drop in in terms of the connector? I will be getting hondata soon
