So the motor would work? If so, is it better to start with it or our motor? Thank you for the reply.: )

I am not 100% sure if the 07-08 to motor will work. I just know the ecu would be good for hondata flashpro

Wants $800 for just the motor. It's an auto. Better off putting that money into my motor, or buy this one? Or looking for a 3.5?

Actually now that I remember I think something did change on the 07-08 tl's. They may not bolt up to our trans. Even so, it could work regardless. Just have to spend more money.

Block bolt pattern changed on 07-08 TL base and Type-S.

what he said?

Also Hondata says to use the 07 auto base ecu. Not the 08 auto base for some reason.

Yeah you could always change the clutch housing but it's kind of hard to tell from the parts diagram what all comes with it. Probably would have to get some new bearings also. The rest of the guts should transfer over.

Yeah I wish Honda never changed the bolt pattern or crank sensor location on the newer J series engines. If that were the case I would just go pull a 3.7 07+ Mdx motor out of the junk yard, apply bolt-ons plus hondata and be done. Luckily there are still a lot of cross compatible parts across many years of J series like the intake manifolds and throttle bodies.

Direct fit just need the transmission bell housing from 07-08 transmission to bolt up too 03-07 transmission of accord. Much better motor with more displacement, higher compression, better cooling efficiency. I would buy that motor in heartbeat for $800 36k
