Check Engine light after Relocatiing the IAT

Hey guys. I was wondering if someone could give me some information? I relocated my Intake Air Temp Sensor to my fender area above my filter and when i turned the car on my check engine light is on. Did i do something wrong? All i did was extend the wires and run it down there and plug the TB port with a Bolt. Do i need to make a hole into the Intake pipe and put it in the pipe instead of leaving it exposed above the filter? I drove the car afterwards and it ran fine seemed more responsive during light throttle and mid range. Thanks in advance.

What's the code? Your idea of putting the intake air temp sensor in the intake so it can sense the intake temp is a good idea.

Po113 is the code. I didn't unplug the battery but i will try that. The keys weren't in the car when i did it so the ignition was not on.

I unplugged the battery and the light went away. Drove for about 40 miles and no pending codes still. So it seems that fixed that. Not sure why I didn't undo the battery like I always do. Thanks for the suggestion thisaznboi88.
