Borla or v3 hfpc?

Recently installed Ritchie's v3 jpipe and now I'm looking to add to my exhaust mods. I'm pretty set on getting one of these two next as my goals are to avoid rasp/drone as much as possible. I'll eventually have both of these parts but only have the money for one of them in the next 1-2 months. So which one would be the better choice first?

hfpc will give you more power and they don't add the rasp like the PCDS do so i would recommend those because they will give you more power than the exhaust

hfpc will not change sound and give the most bang for the buck. or nitrous will give u 50-75hp with a wet shot.

Did not look like they were, the left vs right looks like one was actually bent a little differently. See the 1st n 3rd hanger pics? You will have to compare to you new one out of the box.

I have the Borla and a RV6 Jpipe. It sounds amazing. Great gains, but the PCD'S or HFPC will offer more. Currently saving a bit more so I can get them. The Borla is a pretty quiet exhaust so I don't think it will rasp with the PCD's. I'm still torn between PCD and HFPC

What engine do you have Rich? Glad to hear you don't have any rasp. I think you made my mind up. Would you happen to have any sound clips/vids?

I just got a J36. It does have a drone at certain rpms especially under load. I'll and get sounds clips of the exhaust today. I only have one of under the hood.

Ooo yeah, I just can't get on it as yet , but in due time.

Btw, what format do I use for videos from photobucket? I tried the img format that I use on other forums and it doesn't work.

Chris what's your timeline on pulling the trigger on either pcd or hfpc? I will likely wait till I can hear what your car sounds like to make my decision. As you will have the exact setup as me. Rich in also interested what yours sounds like...if you could get a cruising clip from inside that captures your "drone" I'd appreciate it. Also a startup and accelerate from inside and outside of you have the time!! Thanks!!

Do you guys who have done the pcd and full exhaust have any ecu or afr issues? I'm in the same process of deciding on what to do with my exhaust and the price diff on pcd vs. hfpc is enough to sway me but I dont want to run into any issues as this is my dd as well. Any advice on cat O2 setups and the effects they have would be greatly appreciated. Btw I am not concerned with legality.

Thanks for uploading those vids rich. I went the other way and got hfpc. They will be here tom. I saw a thread on azine that compared pcd to hfpc on a dyno with other exhaust mods. The conclusion was one extra hp for pcd but about 5 less torque. The take away msg was if you are planning to upgrade the whole exhaust hfpc and pcd offer little power difference but pcd adds much more rasp. Wish I could find the thread to link to. It was a good read

Not a problem man, fortunately I have enough torque to spare we should also add to this discussion is that running pcds you will have the full exhaust smell. No more filtering from a cat. You may or may not like it. Not sure how much smell you get from the hfpcd, if any.

After having a minor exhaust leak for a while, catless is fine when it's out of the back of your car until you're in reverse
