How fast are these cars?

Just curious as this is my first V6 Accord. I'm not new to fast cars either. I never expected this car to pull like this. What is a stock 1/4 mile time? I have an 07 Accord EX-L

Look up J30a4 vs J30a5 crew. I ran 14.4 with only an SRI on 19" wheels, which also had my best launch to date 2.0x 60'....go figure. Sonnick just ran a 13.2 with fu bolt ons, NA

Our cars pull very well from a roll. U will shock many others, not just yourself. Have fun, be safe.

6MT & Autos are different beasts.

Auto runs lower 15s, MTs are low to mid 14s if you're a good driver.

I really do miss my 6MT Accord, thing had great pull with so little mods.

No kidding, having trouble getting a less or equal 7 second 0-60 on auto here. Despite having taller gears

The difference is crazy. I love the way this car runs. Always had civics as daily drivers. Low 14's in an Accord, stock, is nuts!!!

Sorry, I am MT. Gearing is great (expect useless 1st for me), which is why these cars really shine from a roll.

I beat a G37 (only exhaust) 3 times in a row, by 2 cars, from a 35 roll. Thats a built 3.0 against a 3.7 6mt. Do keep in mind I have timing pulled for Nitrous, colder plugs, run rich NA (to hit optimal AFR on spray), oversized heads (CC size and flow volume), and full weight. Stock bottom end has 145k mile on it, has seen blown heads and a scoured piston. His G37 has like 12k miles on it.
Hit spray on him and I was gonnnneeee!! Obviously, If I tuned to be NA I would have more cars on him also. Now if he was a built G37 I would have HAD to spray on him.

Yea they are quicker than most people expect. They aren't 'fast' per se, but they do make for a surprisingly quick daily driver. Final Drive really wakes the car up

Well I only plan to drive it daily. No mods, but maybe a K&N drop in filter.

I said I would never touch the exhaust systems or take the engine apart...
Mine spent about 6 months not even resembling an engine.

Well mine is an automatic. I have 2 cars I have modded already. 2003 Mercury Marauder. I Procharged it a little over a year ago, and a 88 Mustang Coupe that's a street/strip car. Can't afford to mod this one also

Just get a Jpipe. Will make a big difference across the entire powerband.

The stock Jpipe lol. It's relatively crushed and doesn't look like it flows that well. It connects the Precats (which attach to the motor like headers do, except it's only 1 exhaust port) to your catback exhaust. It's essentially a Y pipe, I think it's just called a J pipe because it resembles a J in stock form more-so than a Y. There are numerous options from ATLP, XLR8 & RV6.

Cool. I'll keep that in mind. I'd hate to add power and ruin the automatic.

You're fine. As fine as you can be on an automatic.

I would advise an outside transmission fluid cooler and a fresh drain and refill on the fluid though. If you're really in depth a new transmission filter too.

If you go nitrous or forced induction though the transmission becomes more likely a risk.

I've drained it twice. Thinking of draining it again tomorrow. I've purchased the filter. Need to buy the o ring. Then make time to replace it. Car has 88k miles on it

Hah. You're fine, I just replaced mine and it has more miles than that. I would prioritize on the external cooler before another drain. Since what kills these things early is heat, and old fluid.

J-pipe definitely makes a difference. 20 mm TL Type S rear anti-roll bar helps too. Just those two mods will make your car more fun to drive.

I'm just now reading this. Went to the stealership today and picked up 3 more qts of fluid. Tried to buy a new o ring so I could replace the filter, but they didn't have it in stock. Drained and refilled with 3 qts for the 3rd time. As soon as the o ring comes in I'll replace the filter.

I confess. I've far more enjoyed driving this car than I have my Marauder. If i can quiet down those door seals it would be even better
