ride running sluggish

Sup v6 crew,

Ive noticed that my coupe v6 at with around 175k has been feeling
pretty slow as if i had a car full of people. I remember hitting my jpipe a while ago and i have a big dent on it now, could that be the reason why i went from 244 horses to 244 snails?

I also have rims that are 9 inches wide and before i had 8 inch wide rims. I'll post a pic of the dent on the jpipe later.

Any ideas why my ride feels slower? Should i get another jpipe from a junkyard or should i get a performance jpipe?

Any input is appreciated.

From the picture the dent doesn't look to bad not enough to loose power enough for you to notice. 175k I would start with regualer maintenance like a tune up, plugs air filter etc... One of you catalytic converters could be getting clogged also.

Plugs were replaced at 110k. Aftermarket short ram intake was cleaned/recharged maybe 10k miles ago. No check engine light.

I'll clean the air filter again and report back.

Thanks for the suggestion.

Cats. that high of mileage definitely wears into the cats. Also having big wide tires and rims like that adds a lot of weight to the rotating mass, what do your wheel/tire setups weigh in at?

And what diameter is the tire? bigger tire could be slowing you down torque wise.

16.75 lbs per rim and running 235/45/17 tires.

Clogged cats makes sense, what bothers me is that it started recently and since i dented my jpipe recently i figured that was it.

Gonna use some injector cleaner to see if that helps any.

Thanks bro.

ok i used injector cleaner/fuel treatment and it seems to run better so i'm gonna blame the sluggish performance on cheap fuel. I changed to 87 octane for a couple of months now after using 91 octane for a long time, so i'm gonna start using 91 again and see if that changes performance.

thanks again for the suggestions.

Rpf1
17x9 45 offset sbc finish

google search says 15.6 lbs for sbc rpf1 in 17x9 et45 and
16.75 lbs for sbc rpf1 in 17x9.5 et 45

all i know is that when i bought them i just lifted one rim one handed no problem and i can't do that with my 17x8 et 45 tl rim. the rpf1's are pretty damn light.

Dont know how much they weigh with tires.

anyway getting back to my sluggishness issue, i filled the tank with 91 octane gas yesterday and the sluggishness went away.
