If its the true RS*R its not legal here in the states since 2K I think (not sure if is really illegal or just they dont import here) but in anycase they make really good stuff, since I had there exhaust on my 2K civic, and it would probably sound just as good on the accord probably a lil deeper due to more liters

It doesnt matter what kind of exhaust you get, its still illegal. Why? Cuz you modified your exhaust and that is illegal. Well here in Cali it is.

guys...don't get mistaken..an exhaust may be 50 state legal, sound and emission legal......but you can't have them period. An exhaust is considered a modificiation to your car and the law says that you can't any modifications done to your cars whatsoever. yah i know...the laws are stupid and makes no sense.

Ask your local Highway Patrol office if you would get a fix-it ticket for a modified exhaust.

Comptech is legal if there's a carb#, its illegal to modify your exhasut, but hey everyone does it right. If you get stopped all you do is pay the fine or if you dont want to pay it take the exhaust off and go get your car inspected at a highway patrol office and they will sign off the ticket, then pay the $10 fine to the court. Its the same way as having your front two windows tinted.

Also about old cars, if it is at least 30 years old (I believe) it is emissions exempt. This is far as I know... my friend just got a ridiculously hooked up 1973 Datsun 510 and apparently it does not need to be smogged. Furthermore it's also loud as hell. So we'll see.

And as far as it being illegal to have any modifications on your car... I find that to be a completely ridiculous statement. It might be illegal to have a modified exhaust, but "any modifications?" Cmon. I don't even know why I bothered to even post about it.

Modifying your exhaust is LEGAL in CA (no matter what brand) as long as it's under 95dB!!

This is the ONLY criteria that makes an exhaust street legal or not.
