Best replacement clutch kit?

Havent seen any threads on this topic so any feedback would be very helpful. My av6 is coming up on 140k and I feel its about time to replace the clutch, as its starting to slip from time to time and my pressure plate feels like its on its way out (gets extremely hard to push the clutch in after a pull, may be another issue?).
I had an Exedy OEM replacement kit in my '99 Si and loved it. It handled countless clutch drops that my 17 year old self should not have thrown at it. The Exedy's for 7th gens run about $280. I would be keeping my stock flywheel.
Another option ive came across is ACS stage 1 kit. It is essentially an OEM replacement and also comes with a flywheel for $580. These are the only two I am considering at the moment because I would like to keep it under 5 or 600 bucks total. Any input? Anybody familiar with ACS systems? Thank you

everything ive heard points toward the OEM clutch kit...manufactured by LUK. just be sure to check it because it has been known to not come preset properly.

You can use oem flywheel with this. The stage 2 needs the billet single mass flywheel. I have a turbo so this wont work since my tq will be way over their rating

ahh gotcha. Ill consider this one as well although the exedy is quite alot cheaper. I could buy a luk replacement flywheel with exedy oem clutch for that much

OEM is luk. I think you can find one for around 120-150. Search my thread luk clutch does not come pre-pressed.

Since I'm in the market for a new clutch, I'll post the link to the thread (on these forums) where I found my answer for the application I wanted. Yes I'm resurrecting a nearly dead post, sue me. :P

If you want OEM, look for the lowest price LUK or Exedy. To my knowledge, they are identical. I ordered the Exedy and it came with LUK printed on it.

The CM FX250 & AASCO Flywheel is a great combo as well, however, the engagement is relatively harsh at times.

The best clutch to buy is apparently stock! because its holding up and gripping the 440whp Im putting to it! lol. When it does go though...im thinking Clutch Masters would be the way to go. fx250/300

are you sure you have 440whp? What about tq? Tq kills clutch not hp

Given each bar increase in psi doubles the amount of air in the cylinders and while N/A I dynoed 306whp and I'm running 7.4psi, that should equate to 450ish...so I just say 440whp seems like a good guess.

Is that accounting for the 30-50hp that is used to drive the supercharger?

A p2r or action 6 puck clutch disc with the OEM pressure plate and flywheel works good too
