Questions about block swap.

Ok my j30a4 just spun a bearing and im having a hard time finding a replacement for a decent price but I did come across a j35a4 and a5 for a good price but my question is will the j30 heads fit the j35 blocks and is the j35 a direct fit for my transmission I have the automatic H5 trans.

from what I remember, j35 will no fit our transmission because of the bell housing. In order for the J35 to work, need to swap in a 8th gen M/T trans.
Also, the stock ecu won't be able to sufficiently run the j35 injectors.

And like i said in my original post i want to keep my j30 heads so it would be the same injectors I know the j35 has a different bore and stroke but i believe from what I've read the valves will clear i just didn't know if they would match up

There is a stick in this sub forum that details all of your options.

J30s have a 86mmm bore, J32s and J35s have 89mm. This makes the heads largely incompatible from a compression and combustion chamber standpoint.

J30A4s and J30A5s are a dime a dozen on car-part.com. Check there or LKQ you'll find one. Buy the entire short block, swap over the extras, and drop it in. No reason to do a head swap.

You can swap in a J32A3 for not much more. The J30A4 stock ECU will run it fine but not the best. Anything J35X will require tuning which adds a tremendous amount of cost.

I would personally go for the j32, your already swapping motors, and it's not that much more.
Being your an auto I don't know how that would line up..

I swapped a j32a3 into my 6-6 coupe back in October, and it's been running great. Stock ecu will work fine after the swap as well.

I am still running stock accord ecu. Took it on the dyno, and it was not running lean what so ever. Motor runs strong.

However, Hondata is always a good aftermarket option. I don't think it's worth the hassle switching to stock 04-06 TL ecu if you swap.

Hondata = honda tunable ecu. If you are planning a swap you might as well have a way to tune the car properly. All of the heavy hitters on here all run this

Ok guys I found a j32a3 with 69k miles for $825 does that seem reasonable? And will I run into any issues having the A/T?
