KTuner Reflash for the v6 Interest

Hey guys

So I was looking around like crazy a couple days ago for a simple Reflash option for our v6 equipped cars. Almost all options pointed to replacing our ECU with the TL-S one which is great if you plan on doing more than just basic full bolt ons. Its just so expensive. A local shop listed as a Hondata Reflash dealer told me they could do it if I purchase the CAN-bus adapter and an 08+ ECU which sounds almost as pricey as the Flashpro/TL-s ECU option. However, I really only plan on doing PCDs and a jpipe in the future and I want to make the most of those so I asked KTuner if they have anything in the works for a Reflash with our stock ECU. They told they have successfully reflashed some v6 models already and "something may be available in the future." I wanted to see if anyone else was interested in something like this. Maybe we should generate some interest and KTuner may be more persuaded to release something.

Its been done, but it's not something that is a direct fit. You still still need the TL Mt ecu 07-08, canbus wiring, and adapter harness.

Pretty much you will be only saving 200 bucks over flashpro. But it still still be somewhere around 1000-1200 bucks to get it to work. I am also not sure if you can use the TL AT ecu and convert it to MT like you can with flashpro.

Thanks for the replies. That kind of sucks to hear, but I guess I'll be on the look out for a used ECU. I was hoping for something like what hondata offered for my 8thgen Civic. A Reflash was perfect for people who didn't go beyond basic bolt ons. Adjusting Vtec engagement, increasing redline, smoother throttle response, etc. Good bang for your buck mod.
