Cool. Flowbench test.

Red/Green = Stock
Blues = Porting

Have you done a flowbench on a ported J32A3 I/M versus a non-ported J37A4 I/M?

^ thanks for sharing. Number makes way better sense on this post now.

So I am assuming you are going to hit big number on boost since you also have JE piston and rods.

what compression ratio did you go with? I'll share my piston specs if you share yours

11.5:1. This is the same compression ratio I built the 4g63 motor in which I run 40psi on the eclipse Hugh front mount and E85 I was able to hit 809whp. Goal for the accord is around 500whp. When I hit this goal it will be more logical to share all my specs. I found when I was building the eclipse that when I mention my plans the forum attacked and mocked the approach. But when I got the end results, broke the cyclone dyno record and took fastest fwd at the ga wanna go fast half mile event the ridicule stopped. That's why I mentioned earlier what I did about no debating and posting results. Type keltalon in Google and you will find a lot of my dsmtuners posts and you tube videos. I have three projects going on at the same time all with slightly different hp goal. Accord 500whp G35 700whp Del Solution 600whp.

I am glad to be part of the boards here and will contribute the best way I can.

Here's the baseline run on the accord J30 engine with exhaust and cold air a/f still being managed by the stock ecu. I think this is good to post early in the thread.

The accord goal should be easy to reach 500whp. I was around 425 whp (dynapak) at 9psi on stock internals with a type s port and polished head swap. Eventually Cylinder 5 ring land cracked. I believe my compression ratio was around 9.5-9.7 since the type s head has a larger cc than the j30a5.

My buddy has a turbo accord putting down 700+whp and his latest 1/4 mile was running 10.6 sec.

Nice! Thanks for the encouragement. I will be crossing my T, s and dotting I, s for sure.

I perform better under pressure.

I am almost finished with the engine. I have three projects going on at the same time lol. This one, delsol turbo and infiniti g35 twin turbo I am building all three engines myself. I had to recently tear into the eclipse awd transmission and replace first gear it ripped the teeth right off, it's fixed. I'll be back on the accord engine soon.

The answer to the intake manifold question is j35a3/j35a3/j32a2 intake manifolds make more power than a stock shawd manifold. Iím not sure about the j32a3 but itís really not an upgrade from anything but the j30 so Iíd ditch it

J Series Intake Manifold Shoot Out Results!!!

Ok, so the numbers are in for the Intake Manifold Shootout. Current engine setup
J35A4 Block
J32A2 Heads
P2R DNJ High Compression Pistons
All pulls were done on a stock Automatic Acura TL ecu. We did 3 pulls with each intake manifold and displayed the best pull for each one. If we noticed the power kept going up between pulls, we did additional pulls until the power stopped going up. So each manifold had a fair shot to get its best dyno pull.

YELLOW Holley
BLUE J32A2 Stock
PINK J32A2 SBS P2R Spec Ported
GREEN J37
RED J32A2 SBS P2R Spec Ported with P2R Plenum Spacer

Here are a few clear-cut things.
1. The stock J32A2 intake manifold made the least amount of HP at 294hp.
2. The J37 made the most low end to mid-range power but didnít as much peak power as the Ported J32A2 or the Holley intake manifold.
3. The SBS Performance ported J32A2 manifold with the P2R Plenum Spacer made the most HP of all the different intake manifolds.
4. The Holley made the least TQ but beat out all of the stock manifolds for HP up top.

After we finished doing all the manifold test. I went back to the J32A2 SBS P2R Spec Ported with P2R Plenum Spacer manifold. Rotated my intake tube towards the fan, and put in some VP MS109 fuel to mix with the 93 octane that was in the car. And we dynode 311 HP & 284 TQ to cap off the day.
