Installed AEM V2 tonight!

Installed V2 tonight, got it off ebay for $276 new/shipped and the guy shipped it FAST. Anyway, it makes some weird chirp noises when you first get on the gas which I dont like, but when VTEC kicks, it sounds AWESOME! (a good loud!)

Performance wise, other than the noise, the car definitely feels faster, very noticeable torque increase which makes me very happy!

So anyhow, I was just driving the car around enjoying my new toy and I came up on a blue Del Sol. It had exhaust so I thought I might play around with him... well maybe not! Big ass front mount on the front as I see when I pull up! I look over and its an old friend who used to have a 92 GSX! We talk for a short while, just about things, not much about the car but he did mention it had a custom garret setup with spearco FMIC, its actually his girlfriends car! Weird. So I told him to take the parkway home so we could do a pull... we did a 3rd gear punch til about 130 and it was a crazy race! I took off in 3rd and jumped an immediate 1 car and it stayed that way til the end! When I was braking I had to move over to get off my exit and he went down to the next, I hope to talk to him again see what that car runs and has put down! But overall, Im just happy I had the V2 on, or else he might have edged me out

No, instead I took off the driver side wheel and then took off the black plastic covering, it did not take long and it was accessible!

i just installed mine last weekend, and did the same thing.

i also replaced my coolant hose & air flow hose with the hoses aem provided..........

i also have the same weird nose in the begining, but wot is great!!

hey, quick comparasion question for you av6......as you face my engine, there is a hole on the cai near the throttle body. i put the little rubber thing that aem provided around the hole, but it is still open......is yours this way also?
if so, do you know why? is it like a water by-pass thing...or what?

you were supposed to relocate the IAT sensor from the throttle body over to that hole, you have to cut the plastic wire cover from around the wiring and move it to the V2 and then use that bolt and little rubber gasket they gave you to seal up the throttle body.

>>per the instructions<<

ME TOO :)

Just put mine on today. Took about an hour and a half, with a friend. All you have to do is follow the instructions, the wheel well gives you good access but there is still one bolt on the front of the resonator thats a pain in the a** to reach. I just loosened the drivers side half of the bumper, made it a lot easier. And yeah, the hole is for the IAT sensor.

Anyway, it sounds AWESOME!!!
When you punch it, the thing just roars. Sounds kinda like dual exhaust, but its coming out of the engine compartment. Very aggresive

The power gain is there but its not huge, but the sound alone will make it feel a lot faster. I just know that I'm gonna be doing this a bit more. If anyone want more details on the install lemme know.

Next step.... Greddy EVO2

aslo, if you are able to post some pics, can you get a close up of the IAT sensor? i just want to make sure mine is right.

thank you.
