Installed my Magnaflow Exhaust

After all the waiting(backorder) and cancelling my magnalfow exhaust order I finally recieve my package that was not supposed to be here. I figured I would just accept it since it came a month earlier than they said. They had those ugly pointed down tips for the sedan so I cut those off and installed my stock tips on the mufflers before i put the cat-back on my car. I installed my exhaust myself about a week ago. It took me about an hour after I put it on my lift.

I waited a week to give you guys an update on what I think of the exhaust. After alot of testing with me and the car on some nice open roads I have come to the conclusion that I made a great investment. It sounds like a deep 350Z tone in the early rpms and then gets higher pitched as it moves across the band. When VTEC kicks in the intake roars louder than the exhaust making it a nice combo in sound but harder to hear the exhaust.

As far as the performance I feel that it has more power all across the band. It feels more torquey down low and when VTEC kicks in it just seems to move with more punch. 3rd gear you really feel the difference especially when you start in the high RPMS on the freeway. I am going to try and dyno shortly to see the improvement. Im sure a VAFC would help but I do not want to have any problems with my car. I am happy the way my car is now!

Yes. I did dyno with my Injen CAI about 1 year ago. I hope to dyno soon. Just waiting for my buddy to have some open time and then I get it done for free.

I love it. It sounds great especially when VTEC kicks in otherwise its quiet from IDLE up to around 3000rpm. When you step into the throttle it gives a nice growl. My gas mileage is the same and it made a noticable difference in my top end performance. Its just as good as AEM and looks better.

I know this is off topic, but have cops given you any crap because of your HIDs?

Good question. I have never taken any crap for my HID's yet. They probobly think they are stock. I get High beams though alot from others on the road. So I just flash them back! Once I did get flashed by a cop while we both were on opposite sides of the intersection and I loved flashing him back. He just gave me a look as I took my left turn. HID's are worth every penny!

Hey thanks for replying. I put my 8000k in two nights ago. It seems like I'm seeing alot more cops out on the prowl since Ive put them in, or maybe im just noticing them a little more now that I'm paranoid .... I told my sis to bring her digital cam, Ima try to post some pics in the mods section by tonight.
