Installed my AEM CAI

Installed my AEM CAI today. No big deal really as almost everyone here has installed an intake on their Accord as well. Installation was pretty smooth except for the rubber mounting grommet. It took 2 people to get that on as it is hard to hold and tighten the nuts on both sides. One thing that I did do that may be out of the ordinary, I installed it without removing the bumper. I went through the fender liner with my skinny little arms.

It has a good sound when you get on it but is very quiet during normal driving. No buzzing or hissing which is good. Definitely can feel the difference.

Yea..... they can be installed without taking the bumper off.

That's also how I did mine. Thru the wheel well, the engine compartment (battery removed), and under the front bumper.

The hardest parts were getting that front bolt out of the resonator, and getting the resonator itself out. But you didn't have those pita's due to yours being a 6-speed (which doesn't have the resonator box).

It has a resonator, just not the same style. I actually took the resonaror apart (the U shaped piece on the front comes off) before I took it out. It was the only way it was coming out through the wheel well. I didn't take the battery out when I did mine either. Being 6'2" and 155 pounds pays off sometimes.
