Tire Noise

Anyone else notice that the stock Bridgestone's on their 03/04 Accord EX V6 Coupe that they get quite a bit of tire squeal around corners? Maybe it's just the way I drive but it's a little annoying and just another reason for me to buy some new 17" rims and tires.

Yep, the stock tires just suck. They are too skinny and the rubber compound is too hard. Put some 235s on it and you won't believe the difference!

if you read that other thread about new tires, i ***** a lot about them. you want the best example of them sucking, go to an empty parking lot, spin the wheel all the way in one direction and gently up the throttle. at like 15!!!!! mph, the tires start squealing. how lame is that.

A 225/45-18 fits fine, but why would you? A 235/40-18 has .40" more tread width and it's sidewall is only about .30" shorter. The 225/45-18 will also slow you down (it's a bigger diameter), and throw off the speedometer by about 2%.
