Exhaust gains

I just about bought the Borla exhaust last week for my car, but when they couldn't get it here by Friday I decided to wait (I was going to track on Saturday). Well, I went to the track Saturday and won $100, so I'm thinking about putting that towards the exhaust.

Now, any reason I shouldn't purchase? Is there a new exhaust on the horizon that is suppose to make more power then Borla? I've already ruled out most of the other exhaust b/c they're not aesthetically pleasing (I want something that looks stock).

Now, the only reason I'm looking to upgrade is for performance gains - if it's loud I won't buy it, but if it's close to stock I'll look at it. I've already got the AEM v2 (not sure if it really helped), and if exhaust will give me close to 10 horsepower, I'll buy it. I have searched but only found the one dyno sheet that David Borla provided. Are there any honest gains from adding exhaust?

Bueller?

You will get some gains with the exhaust, but most people say that to truly see gains from intake/exhaust, you will have to buy and tune a vafc. I say its worth it: borla is made with extremely good quality materials and is not much louder than stock.

I like the Borla exhaust as well. It looks great (stock but better) and sounds good too.

Definitely worth it. AEM V2/Borla combo which I have is awesome, sounds badass too!

I'm guessing all the systems around will only fit the coupes, right? I have the 2004 sedan (V6), and of course, they have that weird downward angle to them.

Takes the muffler shop 15min to fix that for you. Or you could always just buy mufflers and make a custom exaust thats routed exactly how you want it to be by the shop.

Magnaflow makes a cat-back exhaust (M/N 15800, I think) for the 7AV6 Sedan, in case you hadn't seen that information elsewhere. Good system, I like mine.
