No

Why: The 7th gen AV6 uses an electronic throttle and the CL-S doesn't.

They are 2 completely different motors. J30A4 is the 7th gen, not sure of the 6th GEN!

6th gen is the J30A1.

If anything, I would look into the current gen TL for parts.....J32A4?????

No they aren't. They are two extremely similar motors. Only difference is the cam, intake manifold, compression, and valve sizes when it comes to hard engine parts, all of which can be swapped onto the old J30A1 [6th gen] if you wanted too.

The stock throttle body provides plenty of flow for the 3.0L motor. Spend the money on somthing that will acutally improve performance.

I thought the CL 260HP motor was the J30A1? My bad on that!

The CL-S 260hp motor is the j32a2. Note the extra .2 liters of displacement.

I've checked the TB gaskets to see if the TL-s body is any bigger and it is not, so it looks like the TB's are the same diameter...no power gain there

sorry for a temporary thread hi-jacking, but i'm dying to know how the 3.5L acura mdx engine has 265hp, when the exact same engine in the honda pilot is rated at 240hp. are they lying?
