injen intake filter

the filter should be changed every 10k miles rite? anyone here change it yet?.. can you tell me how much it cost you?

I changed the filter on my six-speed and it was 45.00 It runs better. My other filter was filthy and now i will clean the dirty one so i can interchange them when neccesay.

i cleaned it friday with the K&N recharger kit and the intake breathes better.

not to bust your bubble here.. but how the crap do you know if your intake breaths better...??? you have a little intake sensor or something?

I have good ears buddy. Tjhe intake sounds louder now like it did when it was new. When it was dirty it sounded more muffled. It was really dirty to the eye as well when I looked at it. Sounds like you need a new one too!!

The filter is exposed to dusty environment and it clogs the filter. The air doesn't flow well into the intake. So in turn when you clean it, the filter breathes better so to speak. And when you drive with the newly cleaned filter, the car isn't as sluggish. Cleaning the air filter adds HP lol.

hmm.. its just a k&n filter.. just order the filter from any shop that sells k&n filter.. make sure u pick the right size tho..

or just get a recharge kit to clean it..
