Tornado

Has anyone tried the tornado fuel saver on the 7th gen accords? I think it's equivalent to getting the helical throttle body spacers that arent available for the 7th gens. I checked tornado's website and they do have a part of our car. I think this could potentially be a very good mod for our car. I had a helix power tower throttle spacer on my 4runner b4 and it had a noticeable gain all around...low end get-go in the city and highway driving.

it's a piece of junk. i called a mechanic's shop years ago to get his opinion and he said they were so bad they couldn't give them away. don't waste your money.

no thanks.....don't do it. I'd rather experiment with running an AC duct to my CAI

sarcasm folks...just kidding.

This is a controversial issue... but I think results varies on the car its being used on. I might give it a try. I do like the idea of routing the air intake filter into the car cabin and turn on A/C to max for a SCAI...Super CAI!

Would this work? Would the power gained from the cooler air make up for the power loss from running the A/C?

If it could be done, and make a difference in performance. I'm sure someone else would have thought of it before now right?

The new ford lightning is going to use this idea. It will run air conditioning ducts into the intake for increased performance. No report that I can find that says how much...

i thought they already had these....intercoolers, right??? haha. I think the only reason you see them on forced induction cars is because the boost allows the temp in the air to make a significant difference.

hopefully, i wont have to go into how much the density of air changes over the range of 50 degrees...it's not that much, unless you're engine is very sensitive to air temp (usually boosted engines).
