GREDDY or TANABE

FIRSTLY, YES i did a search. still dunno....

So for exhaust, I have narrowed it down to Tanabe or Greddy, but which is better? I've heard that the Greddy is really loud... tanabe isnt as good... so many opinions. Does anyone have dynos or info on which gives better peformance? Please do tell! I can decideeeE!!!!

thanx.

*shrug*

I bought the GReddy Evo 2's, waiting for them to come in right now.
I'll be dynoing after I get it....probably going to do a before dyno since I know my before (stock) and after (AEM v2) dyno, that way I can see the gains...then I'll post.
It'll be here Thursday but I won't be able to install the exhaust until the 9th maybe the 12th...depending what time I get back on the 9th.

Okay...on the butt dyno it's a big gain, on the true dyno it's good, I think it may have been the conditions of which I dyno'd but, I gained 15.4HP 13.2TQ at the ground just off the V2. Sig shows the improvements of times on the track. Still waiting for the Exhaust to get here. AEM v2 is CAI...so...it's an Intaker, not an exhauster .

I'll give another dyno, but I definitely am going to dyno this winter when it's cooler (Florida...when's that??) But I hope to have some more stuff done...that is, if any companies get their butts in gear and get us some stuff.

Have you checked the video/sound clips that we have? that'll give you a good idea of the sounds. As far as dyno, I cant help you there since I do not have a stock dyno so it'll be pointless to dyno right now, but I'll definitely give a thumb up to the sound of Tanabe.

The Greddy Evo 2's are incredible. The sound is perfect and they are definately not loud. I have sound clips if anyone is interested in hosting them. Going to write a review too, just waiting untill after they break in...Here's a quick pic.

I think you will be happy with Greddy! From my experience Greddy has always made more power than any other exhaust that Ive had and the finish is incredible!
Im thinking of getting Greddy too once I sell my Magnaflows. Dont get me wrong Magna's are pretty good but I still want a bit more quality and Im pretty confident I will get a bit more power out of Greddy's. That would be sweet if 'Stoner' can post the dynos!!

I saw the video clips of all of the exhaust, but there isnt any video or sound clip for greddy idling, just the one with the accord flying by. The tanabe does sound nice tho...

From the forum posts that i've been reading, it seems many people are switching from borla or magnaflow to greddy, which seems like greddy is a good choice. But for some reason the guy at the shop i go to keeps telling me to go with tanabe...

If someone could help me find a video clip of greddy at idling and also when the dynos come out, that would be great.

thanx so much!!

i THINK the reason that pic looks so huge is that the camera angle is down onto the car, looking straight up at the slightly angled tips. right?

I havn't gotten a PM back from him yet....still waiting on that.
My exhaust is on a one month back order from GReddy....which means I have about 2 weeks left...ARGH!
I'm wanting the exhaust before the big meet here in Orlando or I'm gonna be mad....well...more like disappointed.
As soon as I get the response back from that guy, I'll host them up but so far no word from him.

I'm still leaning towards the borla system. I've used their systems on 2 of my previous vehicles and loved them. But I've used magnaflow on another vehicle and liked it too. Greddy is a little out of my price range and I would be suprised if the difference in whp and wtq gains were more than a few points....
