V4 with Dual Exhuast.

Ok i bought borla, but my car is a I4 and his is a V6. I was wondering if anyone done a dual exhaust on a I4. What other things do I need to do to put them on? If you could post up some pictures that would be nice.

Happy

Maybe you can get a cat back exhaust that of the OEM AV6 !!
it probably would be a good start ..
you just then have to figure how to connect the cat to your original piping. Some 2" piping should do it.

The OEM AV6 cat back exhaust should be seen, pressure wise, by your I4 like an ultra flow exhaust system!!
Anyone who has an aftermarket cat back system on their AV6 might want to sell their OEM one for cheaps!

But I guess you already have the Borla ...

on my 6g, i had to have a shop install my exhaust. I have magnaflow duals on my car from the cat-back that was designed for the v6, so as a result the piping was short by about 8". Because of the displacement difference, the piping on a v6 is usually shorter because the headers exit farther back than the header on an i4 does, so the cat & everything else is located farther back on a v6 than on an i4.

so basically, you will need to take it to a shop so that they can weld in a small section of pipe (like below)

If you will be changing to dual pipes, you'll need a bumper with dual cut-outs for them. Just wanting to make sure you thought about that.
