Grounding Kits

Got a lot of questions here, but I couldn't find any answers on the site or on the net.

What is included in the V6performance grouding kit? Anything besides the grounding wires? If not, does it come with the box like the Apex-i grounding system has, and what is that, what exactly does it do? Just power distribution, is it because its universal and not designed for specific models? Is that why the V6performance one doesn't need the box, our wires are of specific length? Also, what is a hyper voltage system, do they have it for our car, and how does it work in conjunction with the grounding system, can you get them together? Or do you even need them both?

Thanks for any help.

You might want to wait or PM 'slick6spd'. He's one of the few I know that has the Apexi unit.

I believe it includes 4 gauge grounding wire in the color of your choice, and macine finished battery terminal.. the wires are cut to specific length for each car application.. installation also provides the best grounding point..

there was some other discussion on apexi.. and what exactly that little black box do.. apparently just some resistors..

I like resistors. Some resistors are better than none at all! I feel that the apexi kit has worked electrical wonders with my car! It is way more responsive and is smoother at idle and all rpm's! But all in all who really knows if it works. I would have loved to get a before and after dyno because that is the only way you could really tell!

Someone should send sick6speed a V6P grounding kit, so he can do a comparison between that and the apexi. I guess there's no questions that the apexi makes a difference over stock, but I'm curious what difference would be between two grounding kits.

There are slight gains due to the fact that the car is able to run the way it should because the ECU and sensors are grounded allowing for a cleaner signal causing the car to run better.

Do a search on ground wire kits, there should be several threads on this.

the little box on the apexi unit actually contains capaitors which help store power and acts as a buffer. It also contains a noise filter, the resistors i beleive are for the l.e.d.

15 bucks

15 volts, I think you'd need more than capacitors.......lol

(disclaimer: I actually have no idea how much the equipment would be, but I'm guessing pretty cheap)
