Comptech Cat-Back Exhaust released

Just found this on Comptech's webiste...all I can say is it's about time they bended some pipes together and made something for us. Click the link for pics but don't look at the price it might scare you....

Only high-end gains too, like any other cat-back exhaust for our car.

In the picture the Comptech exhaust has a pre-muffler. Our stock exhaust has a pre-muffler as well so why would you spend such a high amount of money on an exhaust system so similiar to stock? Other than the aftermarket mufflers which flow better and the larger diameter piping, they are pretty much the same. For half the amount of the Comptech system, you could buy some aftermarket mufflers (Tanabe or anything else) and larger diameter piping and see the same gains. Or like vnguy said, you could build yourself a true dual setup for the same amount if not a little less and see better gains. Even Greddy sells for a couple hundred dollars cheaper. Just my $.02 worth.

a bunch of you 7th geners should mass email them asking for an axel back (cheaper) system if you're not all happy with the price of the cat back.

gotta admit it looks pretty nice though.

It would be nice if Comptech didn't forget about the sedan owners who want some 'go-fast goodies.'

I wouldnt hesitate to buy this if I had a 7th gen. Nobody knows our Honda better then Comptech. I dont care what you Borla and Magnflow fans say. YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR.

Pretty small gains for such a big price tag. Beside the material, what else contributes to the price? Thanks

1k is way too much. But then again, it is brand new. Wasn't the Greddy that expensive at first? Now it's under 8. Give it some time. But looks just like the Borla, and could easily be built for less.

so do suckers who spend $1000 for headers which they could easily get for $250 and basically get the same results

same goes for exhaust. besides, how much are you REALLY going to get from an exhaust?

our exhaust is one piece...or two..but the right muffler is one piece to the cat...so there is no option for an axle back.
