Injen rd Cai Polished vs. Black

I just bought the Injen rd Cai from nopi, I ordered it in black, but they called me this morning and told me that they were out of stock and couldn't get it in until the first of january, but they do have the polished, and they can send that out to me now.

I am a little confused on the diffence btw the two besides their colors? Can anyone help me decide, or give me a little insite on their pros + cons. Thanks

The only difference is the finish on the pipe! If you want something subtle do the black.... if you want some "BLING" under the hood do the polished. I would just wait on the black like you originally ordered... Just my .02!

Injen RD intake for ours cars don't come in blue......just black or polished. And I read that the black injen intake is powdercoated to withstand heat better. Wasn't sure if this was true but it sounded logical.

I just had my black injen RD installed this weekend. Frankly, i think black looks real plain and just blends in with the rest of the stuff in the engine compartment. You dont really notice it.

BTW, Im noticing chirping noise around 2~3krpm. Sounds like some screws grinding. Mostly when i gas it. Doesnt sound like air sucking in cuz the sounds is pretty abrupt....not progressive. Is this normal?

hmm, well if they both do the same thing and IMO, the polished looks a lot better, I guess I'll just go with polished then. Black is nice, but I guess I like the "bling" better than what some people call "sexy". Beside, I think the polished would go better with my saphire blue accord.

Everyone but me, apparently. My Injen doesn't make any "chirping" noises.

i get a slight squeak/whine that aparently i only notice when i tap the gas around 2500 rpm's. its not a bad noise and it sounds like its right near where the intake is. i took my pops for a ride after the install and i asked him if he heard it and i purposely make it happen and he still couldnt hear it. its either real faint, or he's just getting old. its not annoying or anything, just wasnt sure if it was normal at first... now i kinda like it
