I ordered the comptech SS for my 04 6spd. from hardtopguy. Got it in the mail today...the kit says it's for the acura TSX though. Are they compatible? Anybody order the SS kit from hardtopguy?

yes... there is no need to post 3 times. Go to comptech's site and see for yourself.

Do a My advice is to take the whole shifter out of the car and use comptech's little tool to remove the little "cup."

Hmmm... Put loctite on the screws and on the bottom of the old shifter, slide the adapter on, tighten screws. Pretty straight forward. I felt that this was the easiest step of the whole process, that little cup kicked my azz

Thank you v6p

Well just wanted to update, I finally was able to finish installing two days ago. Had to bang on the comptech adapter pretty hard in order to get it to fit onto the stock stick. I guess that makes me feel better, knowing that it's on there tight. Throws are noticeably shorter, but takes more effort to shift. Like other people said on this board, I think I'll get used to it in a few days time. Anyways, I want to thank the members that helped me out through Instant Messenger. Couldn't do it without you guys and v6p.

I had the same problem of the adaptor not wanting to go on the end of the stock shifter stick. I had to make the hole a little bigger. Sucked. Neuspeed seemed way better in design and quality. Just imo.
