V6 + 2.5 pipe cat back + ONE muffler, which Muffler to get?

Decided I want to toy around w/ the idea of getting rid of my hideous looking stock exhaust system. Just dumping it all and putting in a universal single in single out muffler w/ tips already attached, ala Magnaflow Street Series. I know of a good back woods muffler shop, so hopefully the 2.5 tubing won't be a problem.

I've read thru all of the dual to single, and some of the dual muffler threads, but what bout those that just want one muffler? I wonder what that would do to the sound of things... hmmmm

Any ideas on which brands?

My main goals are aesthetics, I could care less about hp/tq.

1) Something that would look like it came from the factory, ala the Magnaflow 14815:

2) Sound (stockish at idle, cruise), eh... this is so subjective... never mind

Back to searching I go.

Yeah, I understand this is totally subjective. After posting this thread I realized how pointless it was. Guess I'll just have to get the 2.5 and the universal and see how I like it myself.

Hmmm... I wonder if I could get the 'Cord to sound like my Hawk

there's a guy with a white v6 who did a single greddy evo. looks good. but why do you think the stock exhausts look horrible? they look pretty good to my eyes. compare to like the a4, mazda6 and rx8. those are tiny little things.

Deuzez, I forgot to make it more clear that I have a Sedan... not a coupe (and yes, I know I need to update my sig, I no longer have the Civy).

I don't really care for the turndowns the Sedans have. It seems as though Honda wanted to make the sedans sporty, hence the split pipe at the back w/ 2 mufflers, but I feel they did a half arse job.

And yeah, I sawAwSoMNaMjA's Thread but that Greddy is waaay too aftermarket looking for my tastes.

Anyway, this is all just talk right now, I need to save up since I just got some 18inch Servos

yay thats my car!...if u want stock look just go to a local muffler shop and get one of their exhausts...there are many generic ones out there for a cheap price...if u were in socal i would tell u to go to valleymuffler....they are awesome and have a great selection of exhausts....stock looking to the rice. but since ur not....i would say just buy an oval magnaflow and buy a seperate tip....it should be cheaper and u get what u want.
