6th Gen S/C on 7th Gen AV6 engine

Does anyone know or has tried to install a Comptech Supercharger off a 6th Gen into a 7th Gen AV6? I would think it wouldn't be that much different, pulleys can always be custom made for less than $200, if they dont work. The only problem I can see is the length of pipe from pullies to blower and/or bolting it up to throttle body. If this has not been tested I would think someone with a 7th Gen would do some measuring or maybe use a friends S/C to see if it needs modification.

It's worth a shot to see if you could custom fit one onto a 7th gen AV6. But realistically, if it was that easy Comptech would have already done it.

I understand that it prolly won't be an easy fit, but it may be something that can be done for a few hundred dollars. Which someone could save $$$ since comptech will start selling the S/C for around $5k. You can find a used one for about $2,800 add another $700 max to custom fit it and you have a S/C for $3500. This may all be worthless but its worth a try. If I had a 7th Gen I would find a friend with a S/C and just try to test fit it on w/out doing any mods to it just to get an idea if its worth it.

i dont know about that one... they're having trouble trying to figure out how to bend pipes for the j-pipe. it's been quite awhile now, are they just sitting around smoking weed over there?

it turns out that tyrone on 3rd street has better weed for a cheaper price. but i bet "you know who" will still shell out 120 bucks... something about a resale value or something.

There's much more to it than just bending pipes. The 7th gen Accords engine bay is much different than the 6th gens (lower curved hood, parts layout, etc).

BTW: Having a negative attitude about it doesn't help make things happen any faster.

I disagree. If you told comptech that you will detonate a nuclear bomb if they don't make a j-pipe for a 7th gen AV6 by the end of the week, it would be done.

i'm guessing they'd send out their form email saying "parts are in development and we are looking to have it released by summer"

If someone at Comptech was reading this thread, do you think it would give them any ambition to release parts any sooner or even at all? Thank about it .
