whistle sound

I just installed an Injen RD CAI intake on my 04 coupe V6, I am getting this whistling sound everytime i accelarate. It doesnt bother me but why is it doing that?

That's totally normal. It's just the intake and air creating a particular resonance. You'll notice that it only happens at a certain RPM.

I get that sound. Its perfectly normal. Mine usually appears when I acclerate around 2200 rpm. I think it sounds pretty sweet.

Heh, I can get mine to do it from 1000-6500 rpm
It's called mastering the acceleration...I love it though because when I let off the gas, a lot of people come up to me and ask if I've got a turbo lol...some people are idiots. It does sound like a BOV every now and then.

yea dude, mine makes that sound too and i love it. reminds me of a FI. i noticed it only does it on the 6spd and not on the auto (friend has the RD on his auto). you guys all have 6 spd, or am i about to be proved wrong?

Is it the same sound that "Igotvtec04" is referring to? Mine sounds like I have a BOV when I shift gears during hard acceleration and I have a stock intake w/K&N filter. It's not a whistling sound to me...more like a psssst sound as I release the clutch. Sounds badazz!

Just curious for those of you manual trans drivers with AEM/Injen intakes...is this sound louder because of the CAI?

The sound on a AEM CAI v1 is fcuking beautiful... I pretend it's my BOV to some chicks that know sqaut about cars...

That sound is normal... I wish I had turbo right now.... Maybe soon on my next car --- MUUUUUHAHAHA

in my 4cyl its even more pronounced without the resonator box. i like it when i warm it up, sounds like a high pitch hum.

Is there a way to amplify that sound... I have a V2.. and the sound is there but my exhaust just covers it.. I know this is a rice moment.. but I wana get that BOV sound badly.. is there like something we can do to amplify that sound.. cuz it is SWEET
