Custom piping

I am getting mufflers for my car and i am going with custom piping. I was wondering what size of piping should i do? I was thinking of getting 2 1/2 inches from the cat and where it splits get 2 1/4. I was also thinking of getting 2 1/2 all the way back or 2 1/4 all the way back. What are you'r guys is opinions?

2 1/2? Naaahhh.......go 3 inch

Just kidding. But I would seriously go 2 1/4. You might be fine with 2 1/2. You don't want to go too big and lose some low end torque.......something that we really need.

yeah, see that is what i was thinking, but my buddy has the same mufler that i do and he went with 2 1/2 on a 4 banger spec-v. he said he didn't lose that much low end torque but saw his top end improve a lot. I know that the comptech one is 2 1/2 in the middle section and then reduces i think. i haven't found the size on the borla.
