Just got my GReddy EVO II installed.... *PICS* 56k Warning

Alright guys, here are the pics I promised, what a b!tch it was taking them, the sun kept on making it dark, sorry for the crappy pics.

Some are taken with a digital camera, some are with my camera phone. These pictures suck though, the exhaust looks really nice in person. I was worried about it looking ricey, but not at all, I like it and I've gotten nothin' but compliments on the sound/looks.

I tried to take pics of all angles, sorry for the horrible quality, I'll take some better ones later, let me know if you guys want different angled pics or anything.

By the way, sound is amazing, sounds so good. I'd have to agree and say it sounds almost exactly like the G35/350Z but better in my opinion. Just low, deep, and very bassy.

This is gonna make me save so much gas mileage also, I don't ever need to go over 3000 RPM unless I'm merging on to the freeway or something.. Before I'd have an urge to floor it every once in a while so I can hear my intake scream, but now with the exhaust, no more of that.

Yo guys, I think the best way to describe is when I'm not pushing the pedal to the floor, after 3500 rpm, it goes like silent???? BUT let's say like I just FLOOR it at WOT I do hear the Intake, just when I slowly go up in RPMS is when the silence occurs.

Anyways this exhaust is really nice, all my friends loved it, That right tip being lower than the other one is driving me nuts though, can you guys tell me what I should do? How bout if I take it to the place and they take off the right one, and i just hold it up while they screw it in???

I'll have pics in a couple days so you guys can see what I mean, also, from the side you can BARELY see the mufflers w/ OEM rear skirt which is a plus.

Also, I can't hear my INTAKE anymore?!?! What the?

Has anyone encountered this after installing exhaust on a car that has an intake anymore?

The best way to describe is, when I floor the car, my car doesn't SCREAM anymore, after 4000 RPM, I can't hear ANYTHING anymore, LOL. Does this have something to do with my ECU not yet learning? I'm confused.

By the way, sound is amazing, at first I was really depressed, I thought it was too loud from the inside, but the sound is freakin' awesome.

This is gonna make me save so much gas mileage also, I don't ever need to go over 3000 RPM unless I'm merging on to the freeway or something.. Before I'd have an urge to floor it every once in a while so I can hear my intake scream, but now with the exhaust, no more of that.

Also, the jackass's at the place where I got it installed f'd up the front of my car, it rolled forward and hit a wall. Suprisingly, I wasn't that upset even though it nicked and scratched my bumper and lip, I was going to get those eventually repainted and stuff because I have a few scratches and a bad paint job with dust particles dried on the paint.

Ok, gonna shut up now, so why can't I hear my intake anymore?

Thanks boys.
1) S.O.B better not have charged you to install the catback....he probably caused more $$ in damage to the bumper than installing a catback (around $40)

2) I recently put on comptech mufflers and removed a resonator only to return the car about 40 min. later telling them to put the resonator back on. Good thing is that I found a good muffler shop close to my house.

mufflers arent supposed to be emissions reducing. Carb# are for emissions, Catback systems dont do anything for emission. Mufflers are only for sound. SO if they are not Carb # watever, it doesnt make a difference since our muffler dont have any sort of chemical in them that reduces the emissions, but yeah anyway.

i know but according to Greddy, before the new law was passed abou the exhaust, Greddy provided documents stating that it was legal to have those mufflers on the car. now Greddy does not include them and also tell you that these are for off road use only and that they do not provide any documents if you get pulled for it being legal.
thats what Greddy told me. i'm just telling what they said.

Drew, thanks bro. Yeah, I'll see you next Tuesday for sure, I couldn't make it last week, had plans, sorry.

Anyways guys, after driving around more, the sound is UNBELIEVABLE. Damn, sounds so nice, so low, deep, full of bass.

I love how I never have to floor it anymore, don't have to go pass 3000RPM. Also, it gets a little too BASSy inside, so I have to roll with the windows down usually. I don't really mind because this is probably for the better since I have 5% tint, I usually left them up before, this way, it reduces my chances of a tint ticket, hehe.

I guess I'll just go this weekend to a place to see if they can straighten out that Exhaust issue I'm having....

Drew, you think I can go to that place where you got your custom piping done to fix my problem?

here in CA, cops won't bother with documents anymore when it comes to exhaust systems. they'll just slap you with a ticket, and the only way to fight that is to go to a ref station and get it sound tested. once that is done you'll recieve documents about your test which you can of course photo copy and send that in to clear your ticket, and keep a copy or the original in your glove so that next time you get pulled over you'll have proof that your exhaust meets decible requirement. as for emissions, just like OwAce stated, the exhaust won't effect emissions what so ever.
