The Mystery Mod

Over on acurazine there is an old topic called "mystery Mod". I think it died, but only because of a crappy vendor. I am wondering if this would have any increases for us. Its called an RES (Resonance Enhancement System). Essentually it increases the size of the air chamber behind the throttle body, allowing the engine to breath easier due to a better intake charge.

Here is a Pic of the piece

Here is what it replaces

It could be difficult for 6-speeders like myself because of the intake flap that opens and closes... but its worth taking a look at IMO

Actually the butterfly valve was long "opening/closing" before you 6spd'ers had it on CL-S's.

So this extra plenum chamber is built specifically for the manifold that has the valve. They don't show the underside, but it'd have to split down the middle with a wall to seperate the two plenum areas even in this piece, unless they found something of improvement of allowing that air to pass into both chambers equally at low rpms by having no wall in there eventhough the valve is closed.
